Bus Driver Hailed Hero After Helping 92-Year-Old Man Suffering in 105-Degree Heat

In the sweltering Las Vegas summer heat, bus driver Mike Blair knows to be vigilant in looking out for people’s health.

Dehydration and heat stroke can quickly sneak up on a person, particularly the very young and the very old.

It was a blistering hot August day in the desert when Blair noticed an elderly man waiting alone at a bus stop. The man appeared distressed, supporting himself against a wall.

When the man did not board the bus, Blair became concerned for the man’s safety.

Since confusion and disorientation can be signs of dehydration, Blair took it upon himself to escort the man onto his bus.

He helped the man get settled in front of the air conditioner to cool off. “It had to be smoking hot out there,” Blair said.

Then, Blair remembered he’d packed a water bottle for himself in his lunchbox. He offered the water to the man, who accepted.

After resting for 10 minutes or so, the man began to feel better. Blair suggested the man stay on the bus for a while longer to cool off, but the man insisted that he was fine.

“He got off the bus and said ‘thank you,”’ Blair said. “As he got off he said, ‘I’m 92 years old.’ Simply amazing.”

Blair had no idea that a passenger had witnessed the entire event and snapped a photo.

Passenger Brent Leabu shared the heartwarming story online, and it wasn’t long before the story began to gain nationwide attention.

Blair joked that he’s not very savvy on social media, and had no idea about his newfound fame until his employer, Keolis Transit, told him.

“I guess I have to learn how to do Twitter, huh?” Blair laughed.

Blair’s company threw him a small thank-you party the next day, full of cake, balloons and a gift.

Keolis also pledged to place 10,000 bottles of water in the hands of bus drivers to hand out to their passengers this summer.

“We are all brothers and sisters,” said Blair, who doesn’t think he did anything out of the ordinary. “I think anyone would’ve done that.”

Teen cashier pays for cop’s dessert – couple behind throw fit and teen is suspended

We’re taught from an early age to always endeavour to do nice things. As kids we’re rightfully told that making someone else’s day a little bit easier is something to strive for.

For one Texas teen, however, every lesson on caring gestures may have gone out the window, after what started as a thoughtful act landed him in trouble.

Zack Randolph, an 18-year-old employee at Great American Cookies, decided to pay for an officer’s dessert as a way of saying thank you. Little did he know he’d end up suspended for the act …

When a police officer came into Great American Cookies one day, teen cashier Zach Randolph decided he wanted to do something nice. The officer was there to pick up some dessert, and so Randolph told him it was free of charge; he was going to pay for it himself.

The 18-year-old pulled out his wallet and paid the $2.75, not even taking advantage of the employee discount so that the store would get the right amount owed.

According to Randolph: “He’s just a really nice guy and on top of that he has a badge. That’s enough for me to buy him something. That’s the least I can do.”

The teen was rightfully feeling pretty good about his actions, up until the moment the next customers approached the counter. The man and woman demanded free desserts too, and then proceeded to give Randolph a hard time when he said they’d have to pay as normal.

As per Randolph’s mom, the couple were confrontational to say the least. The man purportedly told her son: “You know you’re probably going to get fired.”

UPDATE: For the first time since my post on July 5, the Company reached out to Zack on Wed July 12 to offer a verbal…

Randolph went further on the subject, stating that he’d even felt threatened by the man’s behavior.

“He put his daughter down and came around to the side and was about to come back and come at me and thankfully my assistant manager and my co-worker stopped him,” he said.

Sadly, that wasn’t the end of it, however. The teen was written up and received a week-long suspension from work. Naturally, neither he nor his mother could believe it.

In response, Randolph’s mom published the story in a Facebook post, one that has quickly spread around the internet. It wasn’t long before the company issued an apology for their actions, as well as offering to pay for the hours Randolph would have worked during his suspension.

Even so, the fact they punished him in the first place is truly shocking, as is the behavior of the man and woman who complained because he’d given the police officer a free treat.

It’s difficult to fathom why some people act the way they do. All we can say is that we hope Randolph doesn’t let this experience deter him from being a caring, genuine guy.

Flasher shows his johnson to 3 grandmas – aunt Tilly’s unexpected reaction leaves him speechless

As you get older and more experienced, you get less and less prude and embarrassed of your body. That’s the case for me and my friends at least – and it really makes life more fun!

They say that laughter is the best medicine, and there may be some truth to that. The other day, I read about researchers saying that happier people live longer lives. That makes sense to me, so don’t forget to laugh and enjoy life!

In this story, a young flasher tries to intimidate 3 little old ladies, thinking he can shock them and get away with it scot-free. But he wasn’t ready for their unexpected reaction…

Three old ladies – Gertrude, Maude and Tilly – were sitting on a park bench, talking about everything under the moon.

“No no, I’m telling you Maude, kids have these pokey-mans in their cell phones these days, and…” Tilly said.

A stange man appears

Suddenly, a handsome young man dressed only in a trench coat approached them from across the park. He was holding his coat together with his hands and didn’t seem to be wearing anything underneath it.

The young man quickly walked up to the ladies. He stood right in front of them and opened his trench coat in one quick motion, revealing his naked body.

Gertrude immediately had a stroke.

Then Maude also had a stroke.

But Tilly, bless her heart, being older and more feeble, couldn’t quite reach that far.

Christian Comedian John Crist’s ‘Every Parent at Disney’ Video Goes Viral

Disneyland: the happiest place on Earth. It’s full of wonder, light and sound, but sometimes the festivities can get to you.

How much fun you have at Disneyland is often related to whether or not you are responsible for anyone when you go. If you’re a child, you have the freedom to take in all the magic.

If you’re a parent, you prepare for war.

Avoid the Disneyland meltdown! Most kids (and some adults!) will experience the dreaded meltdown on a trip to Disneyland. Here are some quiet places in the Parks to decompress & relax. http://bit.ly/1K3dfZg

Along with all the magic, there are parents trying to let their kids experience everything without breaking the bank.

Comedian John Crist, well-known for his hilarious (mis)application of Bible verses to everyday situations, has struck again with a side-splitting video that’s funny because it’s so true.

As he films himself rushing around Disneyland with panicked looks and a desperate parental edge to his voice, he spits out lines that are undeniably relatable.

Meltdowns happen. Even at The Happiest Place on Earth. Here are a few tips to plan ahead or hang in there when it happens. http://www.thehappiestblogonearth.com/2013/10/how-to-avoid-disneyland-meltdown.html

“We’re not waiting an hour and a half for impressions of France, okay? Eat a baguette and lose a World War, that’s my impression of France. Let’s go to Space Mountain.”

“$45 for bedazzled mouse ears? Baby, you want these or you want to go to college?”

“We made it to the happiest place on Earth. It’s 9:00 a.m., I’ve got to schedule every minute of our day until 9 p.m. Pay attention and stay close.”

The hero in the cave: Let’s celebrate Dr. Richard who interrupted his vacation and stayed with the boys for three days

For the past few weeks, people from around the world have closely watched as an unfortunate Thai soccer team got caught in the Tham Luang Nan Non cave in northern Thailand, leading to an over two week struggle for their lives.

On June 23, twelve boys, aged 11 to 16, as well as their 25-year-old coach disappeared into Tham Luang Nan Non in northern Thailand. The extensive cave system is 10 kilometers long, but the opening was blocked by heavy monsoon rain, rendering search and rescue efforts extremely difficult.

The dramatic rescue operation was followed by the entire world, and news of a diver who died during rescue efforts broke millions’ hearts.

Yesterday, we got the wonderful news that all 12 boys and their coach were rescued at last. One person who played a significant role during the challenging rescue operation is Australian doctor and diver Richard Harris.

Called upon by Thai government

Richard from Adelaide, Australia, was on vacation in Thailand when news of the boys stuck in the cave reached him.

According to the Australian government, Richard’s help was called on by the Thai government due to his expertise. Richard is internationally renowned for his expertise in cave rescues and his rare combination of skills as both an experienced diver and doctor were urgently needed.

When Richard reached the boys, he assessed their state of health and remained with them for three days.

Under his assessment, he ordered that the weakest boys should leave the cave first, reports BBC.

Last to leave the cave

Richard Harris, also known as Harry, is believed to be the last one who left the cave.

But for Harry and his family, happiness was short-lived when, shortly after the end of the rescue campaign, news that his father had passed away reached him.

“Harry is quiet and kind man who did not think twice about offering his support on this mission,” Andrew Pearce, MedSTAR Clinical Service Director, said in a statement.

He also asked journalists to allow Harry and his family peace during this sad period.

Mom sells dead son’s crib at garage sale: Days later, buyer returns and asks her to look in trunk of his car

Getting pregnant and knowing that a tiny life is growing in your belly is an incredible feeling — one that only those experiencing it can truly understand.

While news of becoming pregnant is extraordinary from the get-go, many prefer to wait for the first three months to pass before making the joyful announcement, as these are the most critical and the period in which suffering a miscarriage is the most common.

Miscarriages are tragic no matter when during a pregnancy they may happen, but certainly, losing a child that is almost fully developed is something that no mother should ever have to go through.

Valerie Watts from Cokato, Minnesota, USA, was in her ninth month of pregnancy and had everything prepared for the birth of her son.

But just a few days before her due date, she felt something was wrong. Her baby was not moving the way he used to.

It turned out that her son Noah had died in her belly, just days before he was to be delivered into the world. Valerie was devastated.

Valerie Watts

Valerie didn’t have the heart to get rid of her son’s belongings, and for over a year her unborn child’s room remained untouched.

In May 2014, Valerie finally agreed to sell the crib she had so anxiously hoped to welcome her son in. Keeping the crib was a constant reminder of her son’s death.

A man named Gerald came by the yard sale, saw the piece of furniture, and immediately asked Valerie how much she wanted for it.

They agreed on a price and soon Gerald was on his way with her unborn son’s crib in hand.

Noah Watts

Discovers significance

Gerald had no idea about Valerie’s tragedy, nor how much the crib had meant to her — nor the fact that it was the last physical memory she had of her dead son. He had simply assumed she was selling items her children had outgrown.

But here’s where the story shifts. Gerald’s wife had chatted with Valerie a bit during the yard sale, and had asked how old her son was. She was crushed when Valerie told her what had happened.

After loading the crib into their car and heading home, she told her husband what Valerie had told her, and that’s when Gerald understood just how important the crib was to the mourning mother.

“We decided on our way home that this [crib] was going back,” Gerald told Fox9.

But he also realized that the bed could not remain with Valerie forever, at least not in its existing form. Gerald who happened to be a carpenter immediately had an idea…

He transformed the crib into a beautiful chair Valerie could keep as a memory of her son forever.

A week after the yard sale, Gerald returned to Valerie with the precious gift. The crib, previously unused and a painful reminder of the son, was now a beautiful chair that could forever remain in her home — and heart.

Needless to say, Valerie was very taken by the beautiful gesture and began to cry when she saw what Gerald had done.

After Valerie Watts’ son Noah was delivered stillborn – she kept his crib in place. After some time she decided to sell…

Driver Quickly Grabs Camera When He Spots ‘Angel’ in Clouds Over Highway

Little miracles happen every day. It’s the things that we don’t expect that truly blow us away and leave us grasping for a reason why they occurred.

Yet, we are often left with one answer: There is no explanation —  it’s just a miracle.

Take the cross in the sky, for instance.

In 2017, a video from several years ago went viral. The person taking the video doesn’t actually say anything — maybe he was just shocked by what he is seeing. Either way, it is clear that there appears to be a cross hovering in the light of the sky.

But this isn’t the only time a marvel like this one was discovered and caught on camera.

Again in 2017, Keith Barthold was filming his son being baptized in a swimming pool. That’s when something uncanny occurred just in the background of the video.

My son Landon just got baptized!!! Watch the highway right before he goes in the water!

Geplaatst door Keith Barthold op Zondag 9 juli 2017

Just as Barthold’s son is dipped back into the water, a semi-truck swiftly drives by on the highway in the background, with “JESUS” spread across the surface of the truck.

It’s the little occurrences like these that make us wonder if coincidences really exist.

Just recently, another occurrence like these appeared to Danny Ferraro. As he was driving down Highway 105 in Texas, he looked out to realize something special was happening in the sky before him.

A ray of light was shining from the sun, displaying a formation of clouds that truly appeared as a large angel hovering in the sky.

TEXAS ANGELThis was the sunset as we were driving down Hwy 105. How awesome is that!

Geplaatst door Danny Ferraro op Maandag 30 juli 2018

“This was the sunset as we were driving down Hwy 105,” Ferraro posted. “How awesome is that!”

Ferraro also dubbed this beautiful formation the “Texas Angel.”

According to Fox News, Ferraro told WFTS that he was “en route to handle a situation that he wasn’t looking forward to,” but after he saw this wonderful sight, he trusted everything would be okay.

Fox 10 Phoenix shared this marvel on their Facebook page to inquire what other people thought about the sight in the sky.

Many agreed with Ferraro’s thoughts about the angel in the sky, but others saw something different.

One user thought the clouds looked like a “praying mantis with a dress on!”

Another Facebook user thought the cloud formation was similar to “Julie Andrews, in ‘The Sound of Music.’”

What do you think? Are these just random cloud formations, or was an angel trying to provide Ferraro comfort in his worries?

Mom cuts grass wearing baby carrier – her heart stops when she sees cop pull up

There are very few things a mom can’t do. Fact.

I can vividly remember how good my mom was at completing several tasks at once, all whilst running a household that included three children and two dogs. I’m not saying she shouldn’t have had help, only that it proved to me from an early age just how good she was at multi-tasking.

And, it appears, she’s not the only one. Mom of three Rachael Brindley was juggling parenting, taking care of household chores and various other jobs, but she’s never been one to cower in the face of a task. Since her hubby was busy working on a project, he hadn’t had time to mow the lawn. Despite needing to look after her four-month-old baby, Rachael decided to step up to the plate. Little did she know she was about to create a story that would become a viral hit…

The sun was out and Rachael and Ryan’s front lawn needed a trim.

“It was a nice day out and so I thought I’d help my husband out and cut it myself,” Rachael said to KCTV5 News. “I enjoy cutting the grass.”

So she did just that. In fact, she managed to do so with the couple’s four-month-old baby sitting in a front-facing infant carrier strapped to her torso.

Facebook/ Rachael Godsey Brindley
When Rachael started to mow, however, she felt her heart drop as she saw a Madison County sheriff’s deputy pulling into her driveway. The young mom of three panicked, believing she might be in trouble for some reason.

She later wrote on Facebook: “Y’all I thought I was about to get in trouble or something…”

Only, the officer wasn’t there to give her a ticking off.

“…this sweet sheriff stopped and insisted on mowing my yard for me!!”

Having seen Rachael trying to mow the lawn with the baby strapped to her, the officer in question had decided he simply couldn’t drive on by. Instead, he pulled up and offered to do Rachael’s lawn for her!

Facebook/ Rachael Godsey Brindley
Ryan told KCTV: “It’s small in nature, but was a huge help to my wife today.”

Since Rachael shared her story on Facebook it’s been shared 17,000 times. What an incredible gesture from the officer!

Sometimes we all need a helping hand in our daily lives. It’s great to see that when Rachael’s hour of need came around, there was a complete stranger willing to step in and help.

Farmers stay silent at auction to help young man buy back family’s lost farmhouse

All families have a story — some more positive than others.

Although not always the case today, children have long inherited their family heirlooms — or of course, places of residence.

Back in the day, it was common to simply inherit everything that belonged to your family’s past generations; and choosing your own way of life was not often an option.

If daddy was a shoemaker, then so would you. You would take over the family business, all belongings, and be responsible until your own child would take over.

David lives in Nebraska, USA. His family had been farmers for as long as he could remember. And for decades before David was even born, the land they used belonged to his ancestors.

And this should have been the way forward for David. But one day, an unfortunate decision willed the land to a relative who did not have the family’s best interests in mind.

David’s family’s 80 acres of land was sold to a distant relative and the family’s property was gone. What they had spent decades building vanished in one second, one bank interaction.

Throughout his life, David dreamed of somehow getting back the family’s land and rebuild their business.

Several years after losing the family land, it suddenly appeared on auction. David and his father decided they would do their best to collect whatever modest means they had to try to get it back, reports goodnewsnetwork.com.

They spent many days and sleepless nights trying to come up with every possible way to acquire the extraordinary assets to reclaim their land. When the day of the auction finally came, their hearts sank: nearly 200 farmers were gathered. David and his father felt their chances of repossessing their family land was slim to none.

But they gave it their best shot. When the auctioneer announced their land, they immediately placed their bid — and held their breath.

Theirs was the first bid and David and his father anxiously waited to see who would bid next. But suddenly, the room went silent.

David didn’t understand what was happening and even the auctioneer was stupefied. He made further attempts to solicit a new bid, but got only silence. Stunned, he called a break.

They reconvened — three times — and each time, not a single farmer placed a bid.

The auctioneer finally had no choice, and with the strike of the gavel, David and his family had their land back.

One explanation: Respect

It felt like a miracle. A miracle of 200 farmers from Nebraska, USA — every single one of them knowing what the right thing to do was.

David could finally write a happy chapter in his family history book.

Today, David remembers the auction that took place in 2011 as if it were yesterday:

“I’ve had two profoundly humbling days in my life. The first was the day my son was born. The second was that unforgettable day at the Auction House,” he said.

What a moving story. That so many people who did not even know David personally understood how much the land meant to him and his family touched me in my core. Without their help, David and his father would likely never have gotten back what was once theirs.

Teenagers pose for photo after attacking disabled woman with eggs and four – the internet is fuming

I was taught from an early age to respect adults. That goes for those who are mentally or physically impaired, just the same as it goes for those who are able bodied and perfectly healthy. To me it doesn’t matter; they deserve respect.

Today, however, there comes terrible news out of Suffolk, England. A photo is spreading like wildfire on the internet, and for good reason.

A 40-year-old woman with mental disabilities is seen in the image being abused by four teenagers…

According to reports in the British press, the four teens threw and eggs over the mentally handicapped woman. They then posed for photos behind her as she slumped on a park bench in Bury St Edmund, Suffolk.

Facebook / Robin Armstrong
The woman in the photo is approximately 40-years-old, and suffers from a mental disability.

According to a witness – as reported by the Daily Mail – the woman had a ‘breakdown’ at the park and started to shout at the boys, who proceeded to shower her with water, flour and eggs.

Suffolk police said she was left severely distressed but was not physically harmed during the ordeal, which took place at 5.30pm on Friday.

Social media post

One of the teenagers, in his infinite wisdom, decided to post the photo in question to social media platform Snapchat.

However, instead of basking in adulation, his upload was met with widespread backlash and earned him a subsequent visit from the police.

Reports claim that four teens between the ages of 15 and 17 have since been detained. The person who took the image, however, has not yet been identified.

Totally unacceptable

Inspector Anthony Bridgland said: “This type of behaviour is totally unacceptable and we are treating the matter seriously.
“We know this incident may have caused concern and anger both in the local community and online, but we would like to reassure everyone that we are tackling the matter robustly and supporting the victim.”
Just seeing this photo made my blood boil, and I know I’m far from the only one to react as such. I hope that these teens will have to bear firm consequences as a result of their inexcusable behavior.

Please share this post on Facebook to make everyone aware. Let’s take a stand against bullies everywhere and end this sort of thing once and for all!
